Драган Вуковић је рођен 26.08.1963. у Шапцу. Због љубави према кошаркашкој лопти од несвршеног студента Машинског факултета у Београду, постао је кошаркашки тренер. Као тренер почео је са радом у КК Ива у Шапцу 1991.године, где је до 1998.године прошао све селекције од пионира до помоћног тренера првог тима. Кошаркашки пут га је водио у ЖКК Радивој Кораћ и млађе селекције репрезентације Србије. ККЖ Црвена звезда је донео први трофеј након 12 година.
